I now have my certificate of Full Implementation, receipts and payments on account and claims summary, but on the covering letter it says...

"Kindly note that details of your Voluntary Arrangement will be deleted in approximately two years time from the register of Individual Voluntary Arrangement"

Surely this is wrong. They have gone home for the day now, but I suspect this is wrong and want to get my name off the insolvency register much sooner!

Hi, it will be removed from the Insolvency Register as soon as they send details to them, I presume they are talking about the CRA?

I don't think they are Jan.

It specifically says register. Copies have been sent to my creditors, the court and Secretary of State.

I think I'm going to have to call them to ensure that what they sent to the Secretary of State is not the same letter, otherwise I may have to wait 2 years for it to come off.

You will not have to wait two years for it to come off the register!

This is what is says on the register:

Individual Voluntary Arrangements will remain visible while they are Current, and for a period of 3 months after the receipt of notice of the revocation order, full implementation or termination of the agreement

It should be off asap. Just check they have sent it to the Insolvency Service.

If you do have problems with the Insolvency Service you can always try sending them a copy of your certificate to see if that does any good.

Hope it comes off sooner rather than later as I suspect it will. Give them a ring anyway for peace of mind and keep checking. x

I suspect it is a mistake, I've emailed them to check. I'll let you know. I was with a company called Begbies Traynor, who were Hamiltons. They have been excellent thoughout though.
