Don't worry about that - you can let your IP know but there is nothing to act on. They can default you at the moment.

Won't be long until next Wednesday now.

I am the least biggest fan of these payday loans and want the government to ban loans on being above a certain APR. That said it may just be that rather than scare tactics the department contacting you may not have had the formal notification of your IVA yet. Either way you are protected and no harm can be done. Keep your IP informed.

Good luck for Weds from me too Neil.

Personally I would let them put a county court claim in, and then send a letter to the judge or court with a copy of your IVA and have it annulled. That way they have wasted money going to court, bit evil but when they wont listen it is abit nice to be evil

best of luck

Sometimes i think we forget the reason why we actually needed to use a pay day loan company. I used a few as i needed to when no one else would help me not even family members!! Times of need and these companies trusted to give us money. Yes going through a IVA should mean that these companies dont call and harass but like one comment says it can take up 8 weeks to have paper work through to the pay day companies. I dont think getting harassed is right, once told they should back off and give time to get paper work in, but the clear out line is they gave me money and im still in a mess. its the people who take the money and think ill just get a IVA or not even pay it back not bother to get a IVA. Its people like that who should get abuse thrown at them. Too many wasters in this country now!!!!

I would never have entertained a payday loan company - the closest we got to that was when the wife used to withdraw money on her credit card and then go into the bank and make her minimum payment - I never even knew about that at the time.

The vast majority of us do intend to pay our creditors back but, there are people who think of an IVA or BR as an easy way out.

The vast majority of us are quite happy to pay back as much as we can. I wish we could pay back the whole amount.
