Hi
I haven't posted for a long time. I think I may have done something stupid! I have a Next account that wasn't included in my IVA as the balance was zero at the time. I ordered clothes for Xmas for the children but paid it all off with my hubby's overtime the next month therefore clearing the balance. I have just ordered myself a suit to go to my aunts funeral as I have nothing formal to wear and I plan to pay for it as before as soon as the statement comes. It is £50. Will I get into trouble doing this? Would I be better off sending it back? The IVA Is just in my name and my 3rd review is in June. I don't want to get into trouble. Also is it ok to use a cheque book as the account was set up pre IVA.
Hi, If you're paying it off in full every month you're not taking credit and I'm sure it's fine. I doubt you'll get into trouble at all. I've always used a chequebook throughout the duration of my IVA and that was fine too.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
I also had a next account that i used to get the odd bit on if it was something that was not in our local store and i had to order online and my iva company were ok with it as long as like someone else said i did not start using it as a credit account if you know what i mean
I would have no problem with this arrangement if uou were a client of mine Natalieanne, but it might be just as well to mention it to your IP just for the benefit of their file - and do make sure you pay off the balance before interest charges start accruing.
