Car repairs outside normal service & MOT

Afternoon all hope your all ok,
I have just had to have some repairs done to my car at a cost of £157.77.
I am due a bonus and O/T this month which I do 10/50/50 on. Do you reckon my IP will take into account that I have had to pay out some extra money when making there calculations as to whatt to pay extra..I have emailed them as well. But thought I would post as well.

Your IP may not have much discretion but they could allow you to reduce the amount and add the shortfall on to the end.

Im hoping so Mel so I dont need to drop the amount i pay this month, All depends how much I get paid..Will see what happens

Do you have a car maintenance allowance? I get £20pm to set aside for repairs. If you don't get it, it may be worth asking. x

We had an higher expenses last year to get our 10 year old car through the MOT, fortunately we had overtime so had enough to pay for the repairs. This year at our review I submitted all the receipts and asked for our allowance for car repairs to be increased, based on what we paid out last year & this was approved
