Can my insurance company put my car insurance up because im in a IVA? just wondered as it has just gone up by £300 a year

I don't see why this should be the case so may be worth shopping around. If you find something cheaper but it needs to be paid at once, you could ask your IP to miss the necessary payment[s] which you could then repay to the IVA over the remainder of the year.

Shop around. I never stick with the same company at renewal time.

Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.

Definitely do a search for cheaper ... That seems madness and your iva should not impact on your insurance
