So...car insurance is up for renewal next month..done the usual 'compare' and found a few..gone to take out a policy and surprise surprise they wont let me do monthly payments! Does anyone know of anyone who accepts people in IVA's? And preferably those who don't want a massive first payment! My current provider is Swiftcover but if I stay with them my policy goes up a ridiculous amount per month!! [:(]

All too often we're seeing this now Vimto, penalised again for putting a debt rememdy in place.
I'm with Liverpool and Victoria but this is my second year with them as their renewal figure was competitive.
Hope you get sorted soon. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

There are a fair few that will let you do monthly. I think you'll have to search round though.

It's a nightmare..gone through the payment process 3 times now this morning and all have resulted in them not being able to offer monthly payments!

My daughters ex-bf parents had the same problem, they borrowed the money off their son to pay for the year in advance.
It's time consuming and annoying really to be looking all the time.
one of the other posters who have recently renewed their insurance may be along soon to give some company names to try. x

I've just started a new home insurance policy through Co-op and had no problems at all for monthly payments. First payment was a smidge higher but only about an extra £20 so not a problem.
Also last year Hubby took out new car insurance with Hastings. Again no problems re monthly payments.
All done through Moneysupermarket . com
Hope you get sorted x
