Hi Everyone,
Not posted for a while but keepin up with the the forum. We are both in IVA's since Sept 2008 and going well at the momment, we have the chance to visit relatives in Tenerife for a cheap holiday this summer but are having trouble to find car hire as they only seem to accept credit cards as security. We have scoured the internet and emailed various company's to no avail, just wondered if any one has any idea of any company's we can try that accept debit card and cash.
Many thanks
Abi x

Hi Abi,

Glad your IVA is going ok.

We have had another poster on here recently with a similar problem, I don't know if she got it sorted or not.

Hopefully, if she is looking in, she can let you know how she got on. Otherwise, perhaps one of the other posters might be able to help.

Sorry I'm next to useless!

I think the Cashplus Mastercard is one of the few pre paid cards that will allow car hire, so it might be worth looking into that.

Good luck, I hop you get is sorted out, and have a lovely holiday x

Thanks Skippy,
Yes we have looked at that one and as you say they do allow it, but the have to follow the usage of the card for an amount of time first before they will unblock it for car hire, we will give them a ring today and get all the details and post back as it might be useful for others.
Thanks again

I hope you can get it sorted Abi. It's not nice when you are looking forward to something and you come up against a brick wall.
