Hi Wyn, did your IP give you any reasons why s/he didn't think that BR was an option for you?

Hi wyn,

I would try to speak directly to the IP and not with someone in the office just to make sure thats the best solution for you.

Regards,
Michelle P.

Absolutely - for the cost of £485 you can apply for bankruptcy at any time whether you are subject to IVA proceedings or not.

Yes - you will need to make the application, but you can request any documentation from your IP which you might need to fill out the forms.

The only reason I went for an IVA over Bankruptcy was I would lsoe my security clearance which would mean losing my job.

Do not be worried about the stigma thing its only money after all.

Don't worry about the so called stigma of BR - I have only had a couple of negative comments, and even they weren't too bad. The BR announcement is published in the local paper, but in my local paper it's a tiny advert at the back of the paper near the adverts for massage parlours!
