Hi Mick,

I'm guessing that you mean remortgage to a new lender (please correct me if I'm wrong).

If that's the case there is no reason why you could not provided that you have the support of your IP.

If the reason for the remortgage is to reduce your mortgage expenditure and/or enable the IVA to continue there is no reason why the IP would not give permission.

As every case is unique I'd suggest that you contact one of the qualified mortgage brokers that post on this site to discuss your case. I am just one; Tony (Welshboy) and Mike (mikebdomain) are the others who post here.

Hi Mick and welcome to the forum

As Andrew has already stated yes it is possible to remortgage whilst in an IVA with your IP / Creditors permission, and that is not usually a problem, if your mortgage payments are going to be the same or lower.

Many people do.
