Just wondered when we start the iva can we get help with children's school dinners as it currently costs us £80 per month and this would help towards the payment, also totally different question but when the creditors meeting happens does each creditor get to know the total amount of debt i am in and how many people i owe to.

Hi.

Yes, you can claim for school dinners. Don't know what amount you can claim though, hopefully one of the experts can assist with that.

As regards the second question, I don't know the answer. Hopefully one of the experts can help with that as well.

There is a guideline figure for school dinners of £35 per month per child, which actuall works out at around £10.75 per week if you work on a 39 week academic year - but I feel that the actual costs should be allowed. Providing children with a hot, nutritious meal part way through the day, should not be compromised by parents' debts.
