I googled my name today ( I was bored) and alarmlingly came up with this link. I dont understand what it means, but I'm a little concerned that anyone entering my name on google can read that I'm in an IVA. I realise there is some sort of register anyway, where others can see that I'm in an IVA however that information isn't so easy to find.

My supervisor was Ian Holland, and still is as far as I'm concerned. However the link below may state otherwise? Im a little confused what it all means?

This relates to a transfer of appointments between insolvency practitioners, but I do not undrestand why it was necessary to publish such details in the London Gazette. Have you been notified of a change in office holder?

Don't worry about people seeing your name in the London Gazette - it is unlikely to be well read amongst your friends, family or work colleagues.

Thanks for your reply, no neither myself or my husband have been informed, our standing order each month still even states Ian Holland Supervisor. Im just a little concerned about it being within the first 5 results on google when my name is typed in.

I think that you should ask your new IP why it was necessary to advertise details of the Order when there is no statutory requirement to do so. Perhaps the Court directed this, in which case it is unfortunate but hopefully no-one else will be googling your name in the future.

The point is someone's name shouldn't come up on Google just because they have an IVA! I never found mine, but I wouldn't have been impressed if I had.

Mine doesn't come up either, but I do know that some people do show up when googled.

If you had an unusal surname like mine it would bother me if it came up in a google search I know that, mine doesn't appear only in minutes for meetings within the council etc., not for anything to do with Insolvency.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

My name is unusual therefore anyone googling my name can see that am in an IVA along with my husband, both our names appear and show the area we live in, our name is so unusual there would be no mistaking us. We've kept this from friends and some family for the last 3 1/2 years, i dont like the idea of the information being so easily available.

My name is a fairly common one, it comes up but it's nothing to do with me. There's an artist, a real estate agent, an author and even someone with an Asbo!

My name is not that common but comes up as an actor, a police chief and a reverend!
