my partner is thinking of iva, we have a joint mortgage of which I paid the 10% dep, I have no debt, will they go after the equity of the deposit of which I paid? or can it be protected as it was my money?

Would imagine that it would only be protected if you can prove that it was your money. If the house is in joint names then you would be expected to hand over your partners share of any equity.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

Hey jennifer, welcome to the forum. They will only ask your partner to release HIS share of the equity. You're in a great place for advice and support here so keep posting. Viki X
