I am starting a new job and pay day will change from 25th of the month to the last working day of the month. My problem is that all my bills - IVA included - are paid the week following the 25th. So after my 25 Oct salary from old job, I don't get paid again until 31 Nov. So two sets of bill fall due in my Oct salary...eek!! I can speak to everyone concerned but my immediate concern is whether I can change the IVA payment date from 26th to the last day of the month. This means I won't skip any payments, but is it allowed?

I wouldn't have thought you would have had a problem given the circumstances.

It is very straightforward to do so speak to your IP. It will depend on whether you pay by standing order or direct debit as to who actually informs the bank of the change of payment date.

Thanks guys! I was just drifting off to sleep when the thunderbolt struck last night so I sent my case admin an email and jumped on the forum. You were quicker on the draw.

:)

Glad to see that Graeme has sorted you out and there are detailed notes on our system - he wasn't supposed to be in the office until 10.30am, so he must have arrived early and called you first thing. I'll go and pat him on the back.

Take care!

Hi, Graeme is always very quick to respond to anthing. I'll be changing the payment date on my standing order over the weekend. So relieved it's not a problem.
