How many lines of credit are within that £33,000? If more than 3 different creditors and your share of the loan is over £15,000 then a IVA may be appropriate for you to apply for. Your husband's part of the loan is still is responsibility if it is a joint loan and he will need to service this otherwise he may face difficulties.

Keep smiling - 5 down 55 to go before I am debt free - but an IVA makes you feel good again!

Hi and welcome.
If you can post more details of your income and what you would have left after paying your normal living costs, if you own a home and who are your creditors then better advice can be given. As Lulu says should you take an iva the joint loan would be included but they would then expect your husband to pay.

Just to clarify that the aggregate debts should be more than £15,000 and not just one.
