Hi Gavin. RSM are in the process of rationalisation ( selling off chunks of the business). Last Friday they completed the sale of the IVA business to GT.

They seem to have told no-one and I couldn't draw them on it when it was a rumour --- their clients are just saddled with a "fait accompli"

BTW --- if you need to chase the closure drop an email to Karol of GT at ivacustomerservices@uk.gt.com put only "IVA Forum" in the subject line and I am sure Karol will liase with the closures department for you.

I really don't see why all their accounts should be passed on mass!

The same happened with me, my IVA was in the closing stages with Invocas and I was passed to Cleardebt. There should be some form of staged hand over and those on their closing months should be retained and processed by the current IVA company!

I can only speak from my own experience with Cleardebt but what should have been an uneventful end to my IVA has turned into an ongoing nightmare.

I hope the same is not true for you, but there will no doubt be some transition from your former IVA company to the current one.
7 years after starting an IVA I finally received a completion certificate from ClearDebt

Foggy is correct we were not informed either , only found out about the sale through this forum (just goes to show how invaluable this place really is) , but after speaking with GT we feel a little easier.

Gavin we hope all goes well for you with your closure please let me know how you get on
Alas, I am dying beyond my means.
