Hi!

I posted a while back about was it "legal" for me to give up work to care for my baby daughter, you all said I could, but I decided that lessening my hours would work better for me, and work have preliminary accepted me back at 18.5hrs ish a week, which is half the hours I used to work.

Can you plz advice me on when to tell my IP? I told them I was going back to work, which I am, and they've asked me for an expenditure form for when I go back, but I couldn't fill that in until I was back anyway, because I won't know with childcare and what not.

Do I just fill in my expenditure sheet when I return with all the new figures with lower wages, extra child benefit, extra childcare costs etc?

Thanks!

Heather

Fill it in as best you can with estimates of the amounts you are going to be earning, the benefits you expect to receive and the additional expenditure you feel you will be incurring - and make sure that you make it clear that this is "best guess" and should not be relied upon until the event actually happens and you can provide more certain figures.
