Bit late to this one but freshly laundered baby has to be in the top 10.
Estee Lauder youth dew,Mrs Torch wore that on our wedding day.
Maybe not a favourite, but evocative for me is something you don't get much nowadays and thats's a paraffin heater, reminds me of Sunday nights in the early 70's, pick of the pops with alan freeman, then 7 oclock, sing something simple and mom shouting my name, then upstairs for a bath ready for school next day. No central heating then, just a heater run on pink paraffin, the fumes would make your eyes water, probably be condemmed nowadays.

I love opening a big bag of Maynards wine gums or sports mixture and then stuffing my nose in and taking a big deep sniff before all the flavours can escape.
UTMN,...I would have thought you'd prefer sniffing everton mints or the toffees smells,..tee hee!!sorry, couldn't resist that one[:o)]

Jan,..I like the smell of Aniseed too and used to love Aniseed Balls,in fact all those old sweetie smells like parma violets, pear drops and Kola Kubes..Mmmm,yummy!!![:p]

OT...I do remember the 70's as well and listening to fluffy freeman[:o)]..and then being dragged upstairs for a bath ready for school the next day and those old paraffin heaters, and you're right, they would be condemmed nowadays..!![:D]

DM, I love all those old sweets as well!

I used to love Victory V's as well until they changed something in the recipe and they didn't taste the same. I loved the smell of those as well.

The smell of our roast lamb dinner as well as it is cooking at the moment, but I bet I won't eat a lot of it!
