I missed you too Luke! Glad you're ok, my sons eye sight is really bad both of them but the girls are unaffected, -12 and -10 for them, they'll never pay for a sight test. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Welcome back Luke was thinking of you a few weeks ago, glad everything is going OK.
Never did get round to growing the corgettes, maybe next year.

Glad they're coming through but I won't be growing any!

We had a good crop of rhubarb as well considering we only had one transplanted crown to grow from!

Rhubarb and ice cream is my fave pudding in the world!! We have a bumper crop of tomatoes coming on lovely together with red and white onions (2 types not stripy!!) peppers and chillis. Growing stacks of stuff this year that I use in everyday cooking.
Got loads of potatoes but this is the last year as you need so much compost to grow them on well (we do them in sacks due to the rabbit, stoat, badger, bodmin beast etc taking a liking to them last year.
And of course, dare I mention it.... will have a freezer full of lamb one day (although they have a 6 week reprieve at the moment)

Yeah only 2 acres and only rented but well good!! Only a test this year with the lambs but went so well bottlefeeding etc we hope to get a couple of piglets next year for the bacon. They can live with the pygmy goats for a bit (my pets not for food!!)

I have no objection to lamb as long as I haven't had to see it romping round in a field! I just could not do that. Show me an advert with starving kids in Africa or wherever and it does not touch me. Show me an advert with animals in, or an animal programme and I'm a quivering wreck! I could not raise anything and then kill it.

We only have a small garden so am happy with what we have had and the crop of apples we will have later on. We back onto a nature reserve so there are blackberries, plums, damsons, hazelnuts (if the squirrels don't get them!!) - no rabbits though although we do get foxes.

Where you live sounds lovely Jan - I am the same with animals. If I watch something where a human and an animal have an accident I always panic about the animal!!

We ditched doing the fruit as the birds always get there first. We do have loads of blackberry bushes round the garden so me and the blackbirds fight over them!!

It's nowhere special kazza - a housing estate which happens to have a very boggy area at the back not suitable for building on. We even have Dexter cattle grazing on occasion (they rotate between various sites).

Don't get me wrong, I am a very big meat eater but could not raise it myself and eat it.

I have a rubbish decked area with lots of concrete lol.

The Caravan site I have just stayed at had lots of wild rabbits. My girlfriend would say 'Awwww, look at the bunnies'. I would wind her up by saying 'Wish I had my Dad's shotgun, that'd be nice in a stew lol.'
