It has to be good and hopefully we will get some more creditors on board.

I think it is a very good idea to have a creditor posting on the forum - if they are here to offer help and assistance and take on board debtor`s views and experiences and learn from them, that is.
As I posted earlier, it seems that the main theme in Barclaycard`s posts upto now has been to attempt to collate peoples contact information.
If I was at the initial stage of thinking of proposing an IVA and was posting on this forum for help and advice I would be very careful what I posted knowing that one of my creditors was actively, closely monitering the forum.
I genuinely hope that Barclaycard are on here for the right reasons, I await honest, non pc, non jargon answers to the two questions I posted on my first post on this thread.

Unless your user name is easily recognisable then they have no way of knowing who you are even if you are a debtor.

Hi
Just to echo Jan's words in that no one can access your details, the only way Barclaycard, or any other creditor, would know who you are is if you told them.
Worth remembering that creditors such as Barclaycard are dealing with many hundreds of new defaulting accounts each working day and would not have time, or any need, to try and match anyone with the limited details posted on the forum.
Regards

I understand that kallis, but personally I`d be a bit nervous of what I was posting actually knowing a creditor is monitering a site where debtors are seeking help and advice.
As I posted, it seems to me that Barclaycard`s overriding theme upto now has been to try to get people to email or contact them, are they using the forum as a form of establishing missing contact details of debtors?
Probably not, but I`m suspicious by nature, we will see what transpires over the fullness of time.

I see where you are coming from Goosed, but, to be honest, I don't think there is much on the forum that would upset a creditor. By and large we are all trying to live within the terms of our agreed IVA's and wanting to discuss ways of making this more palatable to minimise the chances of the IVA's going south..... which has to be for the creditors benefit.
Edit -- a thought ..... for those with Aol, Sky and the like, if you want to make doubly sure Barclaycard doesn't track you, make up a gash email address purely for them.

Not sure where you are coming from there Foggy - if your forum name is nothing like your normal email then no creditor will know who you are.

Jan, say I had a specific query --- I don't know, like, "Barclaycard, I have just had a statement from you that has interest included, Please explain".
Barclaycards standard response is "Please email your specific enquiry to the email address below"
Later that day, Barclaycards given email address gets an email from Joebloggs@aol.com
2 plus 2 = Foggy is Joe Bloggs .... bingo !
But .. if I create "Fartznstartz@aol.com" ... Foggy = Fartz n Startz .... none the wiser
EDIT: I might add -- those email addresses don't exist ( I might hang on to the last one though!)

I see your point Foggy. You can always sort out a different email address if you are concerned, but if you are sorting out, or already in an IVA there shouldn't be a problem.

Hi
To be fair to Barclaycard how else can they participate in the forum and help with questions ? If Mel Giles has a client asking a specific question on the forum she will always ask them to contact her directly rather than discuss on the forum.
I can tell you that Barclaycard are on the forum for transparancy and to help, and there is no other motive.
