Hi,
A quick (and probably daft!) question about my bank Account.
When i was setting up my IVA I changed my Bank Account to Lloyds TSB as they are not one of my creditors - We have a joint cash account with no OD or cheque book...just a Debit card.
I am just sending off my direct debit mandate to my IP, and I have this niggly thought that once set up, would Lloyds recognise it as an IVA company, and more to the point could they close my Account or tell me to.
They did do a credit check originally, but although my score must have been rock bottom, I was not officially in an IVA then.
I have been with them about 2 months now, and just have all my DD set up etc, so it would be a bu**er if they did 'throw' us out.
Thanks and sorry if it does seem a daft question - I need to have something to worry about, now my IVA is set up...LOL!
k.

As Lloyds TSB are supportive of the IVA concept, I wouldn't think they will pull the account, simply because of who you are paying.

I paid my IVA through my Lloyds account without any problems - in fact they were happy for me to keep the account after I went BR so they are quite supportive as Ian says.

Hi Kal,

Although LLoyds did a credit check it was probably more for identification check than anything. If you have no overdraft and haven't requested one I don't see it will matter to them.
Good Luck.

I set up a new account pre IVA I too worried they may recognise that the standing order was to an iva company. The standing order goes out to my IP rather than the company name so thats good, but I have not had any probs I am with the co op bank.

We set up our acount with TSB pre IVA and opted for a current account with a cash card and we also got a cheqebook, 6 months after opening the account we went into our IVA and there have been no probs with the account at all!!!

Hi
As far as we are aware it is only HSBC and First Direct that actively search the Insolvency Register and close accounts of people that are in an IVA
