It all depends on the letting agency and the Landlord of the property you wish to rent.
You would best been upfront with a letting agence to save yourself the cost of a credit check if they know you will fail it.
A good option is to try private Landlords. they wont do credit checks although at worst they may ask for a bank reference which you ask the bank for and it just gives deatils that you pay your bills ok. It wont disclose any of your finances or anything like that.
The estate agent is a familt friend and he is aware of our financial situation.
The IVA was approved on the 15th aug will it have an effect of the terms and conditions , as they state that i need permission if i wish to move house or re-mortage .
Will an expert pick this message up tonight , as i am new to the forum and need to some help ASAP as the estate agency want an answer tomorrow regarding the new house.
have you ever heard of anyone having a problem moving house whilst on an iva , we need to move as the Rent paymemts have increased by £100 with inflation and the lanlord is not prepared to reduce the amount .
I am not a professional but I think I am right in saying that as long as your IVA payments are not affected it shouldnt make any difference. You would need to let your IP know where you are. Its not against the terms and conditions to change address. Just that if it affects the amount you can still pay, they might have a problem, as you agreeed to pay xxx amount over the term.
I hope this helps.
Good luck with the move, you sound a little bit stressed right now.
I am very stressed at the moment , My payments should not be effected as my husbund has had an increase in salary and the rent has only on creased by £25.00, the rent for the property i currently live in has increased by £100.00 a month , this i what has prompted the move.
Dont worry then as I am sure this will be seen as the correct move. You have a talk with your IP tomorrow. S/he will see that this is an essential move I am sure.
Youre amongst friends here so do keep posting, everyone here will be more than willing to help you through this.
There is no problem in moving house whilst in an IVA so long as your IVA payments are not affected. As you say this is not the case, then I would crack on with it to avoid running into arrears due to your rent increase.
