I'm considering an IVA with Freeman Jones. I'm getting mixed reviews the bad 2013 or earlier. Are they any good?

We do not get that many complaints about them, certainly not as many as we get about some others. They do mess up now and again ... but doesn't everybody. They weren't my provider, so I cannot comment from experience --- hopefully some of their clients will be along to share experiences.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014

Like Foggy I haven't seen any real horror stories on this forum about FJ. There are always going to be some complaints about companies as people tend to air their bad encounters and seldom praise when it all goes to plan. My IVA provider had a huge list of disgruntled customers, my experience of them was polar opposite! I don't think you can go very wrong with the smaller companies ans they have the resources and small customer base to actually care about the individual.
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

Hi
We were with freeman Jones and found them good.
They answered queries pretty quickly.
They also answered the phone quickly.
We had about 15 different people who looked after our IVA which was a bit of a nightmare explaining things over and over again.
All in all went smoothly
Today 1st of December 2016 the vultures finally flew away

Not my provider but like foggy says not alot of grumbles about them and certainly not as many as other firms seem to get ...
Best advice is to speak to two or three before deciding as they have to be your best buddy for the next 5 years !

Don't seem to be too bad but do shop around.

I couldn't praise FJ highly enough for how they handled our negotiations for a F & F a little under 3 years into our IVA's. Our caseworker, who had been working hard for us went on leave because of a family bereavement (I believe) and thankfully the person that took over the case stepped straight in and gave us the same effort in obtaining a satisfactory conclusion to our IVA's.

For most of the IVA I think we considered them our enemy almost and not on our side, however when push came to shove that couldn't of been further from the truth.
I thought I would never forget the names of the two people concerned, but sadly I have! I have not forgotten though how they help us on a path to a brighter future.

Good luck with however you choose to precede, work with your IP not against them.
