They are Melanie and I am truly greatful. Now you and your team are working on my sisters which is a whole lot more complicated, but you all gave me such confidence that I made her change from who she was with and move over to you. I believe you have already had a discussion with her and she faces the daunting task of gathering the information you asked for (stuff the other company didn't ask for)
She like me is with Claire, but you are her IP.

I am sure that we will try our very best for her as well - I love the complicated cases, as they keep my grey matter alive!

lucky you ... they wanted me to sign an clause saying that my partner would contribute £100 / month after 2 years because her debts should be paid off by then, even though the debit was incured before we had even met.

Melanie explained to me the reasoning behind it and I can see why they did want that clause, just doesn't make it any fairer or easier to accept.

Relieved.... oh yes the weight have been lifted, I won't mind answering the phone now! And after all that MBNA didn't even vote (got it wrong in my first post) and they had the largest proportion of my debt. One of the changes is regarding equity release in year 4 and extending the IVA for a 6th year if there is no equity, but that's ok, can live with that....

It's funny to think how I survived before now, I was truly living on credit with an ever increasing debt balance.

Its madness tele2002, MBNA 19k debt... couldn't be bothered to vote!
Good luck to your sister, it will be great for her to have someone who has gone through the process and be able to reassure her.

Well the funny thing is it was her who put me onto this, she originally when with Kingsgate (I think) and the sister company was going the IVA (or visa-versa) anyway they put her on DMP and MBNA rejected it and increased her payment to something she wasn't happy with. But that all started back in Jan, so I considered it (having never heard of an IVA before) and jumped on board with Vincent Bond.... Well I've made no secret of it that I wasn't overly happy with paying them £1000 for them to pass me to The IVA Advice Bureau so that delayed mine a couple of weeks (before I found this site) anyway, she is now with Melanie as I felt she was being ripped off by this other bunch especially since she parted even more than me to them to start the process. So I have her to thanks for this success, and I spoke to her earlier and she is a little gutted, but a lot happier that she is now with a company that actually communicates!
