It still makes me cross because it's just fishing and it's wrong in principle! Although Gemma's reply is decent one, if you did say yes then as we have seen your IVA goes on and on....and on And five years is long enough. Took a while to find youself here!

i too have received this ppi from equity in finance .my iva finished 4 days ago .i certainately would nt be responding to this and will be returning it to payplan .i claimed ppi through one company successfully and the money just went to pay off any arreaers on my loan

I received the same letter yesterday and to be honest I thought I had to make a claim therefore I rang both the finance company mentioned and also Payplan so it seems that the letter is genuine. Today I have clarified with Payplan that it is my choice whether to put in a claim or not therefore I can finish my IVA in a few days time
