ivoriva just one bit of advice make sure you can manage on those ammendements for 5 yrs as it is a very long time, a lot of iva's fail because of such demands and you would only be back at square one, i am not trying to frighten you but be sure in your heart that you and your family can manage on such a strict budget!
good luck

That's good advice from Kerri. Think long and hard before agreeing as 5 years is a long time on a tight budget and £623 to £740 is a big jump. Good luck x

It is a big jump and one that will be difficult but hopefully not impossible. Before I even started this process I expected a figure of £680-£700 anyway, so it isnt too far above that. Fingers crossed it'll go thru now, else I'll be really annoyed as it is by far the best offer they'll ever get. Anyways, I'll keep you posted how things go today..

Well, still no further word from my IP about my creditors meeting. Last time I managed to get through to him was this time yesterday, he just told me he faxed the revised offer and was waiting to hear back but would do so just as soon as he did. He also mentioned it may need to be adjourned for a few days. Well, its now 24hrs later since he told me that, I've had no calls and I just get thru to his answering machine. Infact, he is yet to call me once since my meeting date - it is always me calling him. And its now nearly 48hrs since my meeting took place! And I still have no idea what the outcome is! Arghhh....

How annoying it must be for you.
Keep on at your IP..............I,m surprised that your meeting was not adjourned for two weeks so that your IP and KPMG could agree something, rather than it rolling on and on like this.
Fingers crossed for you

Hi Andy,

I am suprised also, I think it would be a lot easier on me if he just adjourned it and let me know until when and what needs to be sorted out. At least then I wouldnt have to think about the worse all the time. My concern now is he hasnt got the time of day for me, because he thinks it will fail...

Well lets just hope he,s still working on it and I, sure that he is.
Communication is so important in all walks of life but none more so when it,s dealing with a life changing experience like an IVA.

Hi Tracy,

Been away for a few days so no chance to post on here. Still no news, was adjourned for a week last week and as yet no decision has been made. So im hanging in there like you suggest. Fingers crossed I'll find out sometime soon... the IP says there shouldnt be a problem with the revised offer, but Im not convinced since it has been dragging on so long. Still, they havent said its been rejected yet so I guess its still ongoing... I will let you know when I finally hear something.

Hi Ivor

Hang in there!!!! I hope all goes well for you and the outcome is a positive one. Just remember, once it has all gone through, 5 years can fly by in no time and then its back to life!

Thanks Sue and Tracy for your kind words... they do mean a lot. I have managed to keep my head relatively clear over the long weekend away, but that already feels like a long time ago! I just wish my phone would ring and I got a answer finally. I am prepared for the worst, but at least I managed to say white rabbits this morning for the first time in years so maybe I'll get some luck afterall!
