Well yesterday, I had a big meeting with my employers who have been kept up to date with my health issues and very sadly they have decided that they cannot keep a job for me in any capacity anymore. They have dismissed me to due ill health and unexpectedly I feel a bit devastated, i never had a chance to say goodbye to my colleagues and my safety net is gone. It's been ages since i was well enough to work i know that, but still.

No doubt i will feel sad for a couple more days yet, and a but miffed that having this heart condition has lost me so much. It will pass.

Quark I'm so sorry to hear that you won't be able to work. Will you still be able to stay in your flat?

Hope you get everything sorted soon, you've been through a lot.

Sorry to hear that Quark ... but your title "End of an Era", suggests the heralding of a new era. Once the dust settles and you have re-adjusted the next chapter can begin with you being able to focus a little better on yourself.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Thanks Jan, had a bit of speed wobble earlier, a mini rant and rave and then pulled myself towards myself.

You need to look after yourself now, keep calm. You've got a roof over your head and your health is monitored.

How is the BR coming on?
