Hi, I live at home with my parents and am 15000 thousand in debt. I am extremely worried that if I take out an IVA it will also affect my family's chances of obtaining credit and their current mortgage they have on the house. Is this possible? As I have looked into bankruptcy and know that your house becomes blacklisted if you go bankrupt.

If they have any problems, they can write to the credit reference agencies and ask to be disassociated from your debts. Thats what i did with hubby and they wrote back and told me they would deal with it right away.

Hiya Jodie and welcome to the forum. As far as I know, your family credit worthiness won't be affected by your debts and how you deal with them. If there are any problems, your family can 'disassociate' themselves from your debt.
It's nice to be back......
