Everything he sprays on stinks! I'm forever opening windows, washing and spraying febreeze and anything else. I try not to use too many sprays but there comes a time when I have to.

Well I phoned Vet - they said he must be stressed by other cats???

Suggested I get a diffuser which apparently is like an air freshener and calms cats. I'll give it a try.

Oh ladyh, I do hope she comes back. I know what a worry it is when they go missing, it's bad enough without her being pregnant.
It's nice to be back......

Ah Ladyh, hope she comes back soon. X

Julie, I used on of those diffusers on the recommendation of the vet.....it was awful! We plugged it in on the upstairs landing and Nia wouldn't come out of the bedroom, she was acting as if there was another cat there! We had to ditch it. When we told the vet he said he'd never ever heard anything like that, it's supposed to calm them down and make them feel safe. Hope you have better luck. X

LadyH, I hope she comes back soon....nothing but worries these cats eh...

I've shouted NO and Latch just looks at me as if "yeah what are you going to do?" Doesn't help that hubby thinks its funny and spoils him to death - how much do the diffusers cost Vicki?

I think it was about £24, I think that includes the refills but to be honest you could probably get it cheaper on ebay. Pity I didn't keep it, you could have had it, I had to throw it away as Nia was that stressed. It IS supposed to be really good though. X

Hi Swans Girl
If your owld Tom sprayed before being 'done' (and I'm sure he did) he will continue to do so. However there are treatments in the form of sprays which you can buy from pet shops. You spray the area the cat sprays and it deters him as he dislikes the smell. Humans can't smell it thankfully. Could be worth a look

Gosh, I never thought I'd say it but my boys are positively normal!!
They were done early and have never sprayed. Monte hates using the litter and Carlo won't go anywhere else! He is my big softy baby though!!

Mrs Skint We have a parrot an African Grey and 3cats the parrots calls the cats in a very soft loving voice and when they get near he bites them but as you say it makes him laugh and the cats keep clear for a few days. Caught the kitten sleeping on top of the parrots cage the other day with his tail through the bars its a wonder we didn't end up with a tailess cat.

All three cats are very good re house training, I found that by moving the litter tray nearer the door and then eventually out side the door they then stopped using the tray and went outside

Jan ours is an African Grey too. She calls me "mum" but says it in my daughters voice.
She asks the dogs in my voice if they "wanna go out" which then sets them off running round like idiots.
My cat is dumb, he goes back everytime she calls him. Its a wonder he has any ears at all shes had them that many times.

Well as you can see from the time of my post, im having another bad night. The female cat is guarding me again from the other side of the room. She was flat out on the bathroom floor till i got up.

Sorry to hear that you had another bad night hope you get the tooth sorted soon. The parrot, Bill was my mums but as my dad is ill I have inherited him he has been left to me in their will, other people get money jewels and houses what do I get a African Grey called Bill who doesn't like me. He will go hungry rather than let me feed him he will only let my husband feed him. He is good fun and company and he talks very well and seems to have great conversations with passers by. The kitten still hasn't learnt to keep away from him and I expect him to end up with bits missing he did lose the end of his tail I don't if that was from the parrot or from another injury. Still wouldn't be with out them even though they cost money.
