Hi guys - only just had a chance to let you all know - we had our meeting on Tuesday (at last - this would be our 2nd meeting), and it's been accepted - yessss!!!
I think they accepted about 26p in the pound - which is £410 per month on a debt just over £60k!! Me and hubby are so relieved - only minor (standard) modifications, no increase or anything!!
I shall continue log on to this website, and hopefully get some good budgeting tips of people - will need them!!

I would just like to congratulate you on your IVA being accepted, seeing as I have just kicked hubby off the comp as he has been on it most of the day.

well done mrs plec - it's the same in our household!!

Egg and capital one voted yes

Not sure about the others yet, should hopefully hear next week so will let you all know! The IP didn't say anybody voted no so perhaps they all voted yes!!
I was quite surprised, actually, especially as the dividend is just over the 25p threshold!
For you guys out there who are still going through the process - good luck!!

Hi Emma

It's good that I kicked my hubby off the comp so I can get on it once in a while but he could just going and get his daughters laptop and connect to the internet. We are just starting to go through the process of setting an IVA up. We are just trying to find all the docs we need to send to our advisers (Thomas Charles) which its a bit of a struggle at times when hubby is stressing out at the smallest of things at mo. How long di d it take you to get through the beginning process to starting to pay to your IP?

It took about 4 months, we too went with Thomas Charles! It only took us this long becuase we had 2 meetings - the 1st one has to be rejected as the IP has put down the wrong figures! It is a very stressful time, what with all the letters and calls of creditors/debt collecting agencies, but, I think if you're deciding to do an IVA , you're admitting you've got a problem that needs sorting out - and this is the only way!
