Hi

I would just like to say a very big thankyou to this forum for getting me on the road to sorting out my debts. An especially big thankyou to Melanie Giles and Tina who have both been extremely patient and given sound, unbiased advice. I woud recommend either without hesitation.

Thank you twinkletoes - the forum members will remember your initial complaint about your previous IVA, and I think that it is a great result that we have found you a solution which perhpas involves no formal insolvency proceedings again.

Best of luck - and don't forget we are here if you need any further advice.
Regards, Melanie Giles, Insolvency Practitioner

Melanie I need some advice already!! Also I thought you weren't working today-do you never rest?! I have been onto a few companies re my endowment policies and very few companies seem to be buying at the moment. The AXA one is too small to interest anyone certianly si its surrender value is only around £3500 and companies are looking at a minimum of £5000 at the moment. One company I spoke to said that I was probably better surrendering them back to the companies as this was more straight forward and I wouldn't get much more form selling rather than surrendering. What do you think?

Mel takes her laptop everywhere - even on holiday!

Contact her about this and I am sure she will be able to help you.

Sorry for delay - I was camping over the weekend, and although I did have the laptop - the mobile signal in the Wye valley was dreadful!!

I am not qualified to give advice on the sale/surrender of endowments, but I do understand that selling them on is not as lucrative as it used to be. I would suggest you have a chat with an independent financial advisor with regard to the options available.
