i just tried to place an order for home heating oil, the company i use usually gives you 10 days to pay. When I rang they said that my account now says no credit to be give as im in an IVA, they said this was published in a gazette, i thought that it was never published that you where in an IVA it was just listed on the register. Is this right?
The information that you are in an IVA is publicly available and is often used by companies that may (or may not) choose to issue credit to you.
It's not a case that the information has been published in the sense that it appears in a newspaper for example, but I can see how the word "published" might be used by someone who had located your IVA when they looked into whether or not to continue to extend credit to you.
