Hi Skippy

I know from your details that your iva failed and you at to end up going BR, i see evrything is going well for you and you will be discharged in 3 months time, i am pleased for you everything as turned out well.

My question to you, is if you are start all over again would you still go in to an IVA or straight in to BR?

What ever the answer is, can you explain why as well please

no matter how bad money gets, theirs stll alot more important things in life

hi james i am not trying to answer for skippy but being a BR myself i will tell you knowing what i know now and after what i have been through i would have gone BR in the beginning, now don't get me wrong, i would have done anything to have paid what i owed and anything not to have gone through what me and my family had to!if you contemplate going BR you have to look at the whole picture, forgive me skippy don't mean to be detrimental to you, but she had no family/ kids no assets so really had nothing to lose in that respect only the fact of being BR, you have to weigh up your own situation to decide whether going BR is the best option, i had assets and a family who were going to be the losers in my decision, although BR may seem easy its not,but after going through the iva process and being messed around and ripped off, BR was my only choice in the beginning and should have been stated by my IP, if i had to do it all again, fingers crossed, i never have to, i think i would go for the jugular and go BR and be discharged in 12 months or less have lower payments per month and be able to live, sorry to anyone if this sounds like the fools and easy way out but being honest after what i went through.

Hi James, sorry I didn't see your post last night.

The honest answer to your question is I don't know what I would do! There is a big part of me that wishes I had gone bankrupt in August 2006 when I realised that I was in trouble - I would have been discharged 5 months ago and be over a year into paying my IPA. The other part of me is proud that I tried an IVA and wishes I could have made it work.

Saying that, I'm glad I made the decision to go BR when I did as I know that I couldn't have managed the payments for 5 years. I thought about persevering with the payments, but I was struggling so badly that I knew it wouldn't get any better.

Sorry, that really doesn't answer your question does it?!?

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.
