I hate it when that happens!

Quark, I think you will probably be better filing for BR than doing all this hanging about for news of your IVA. It will put your mind at rest, you can get it done asap and get on with the rest of your life.

Off to work now, I'll log on tonight to catch up with your news.

As of 12.54pm i am officially insolvent. The initially proposed payment has been accepted over a slightly longer term.I know what my options may be in the future if it all goes arse up, i can now learn to budget and take much better care of myself and not worry about calls and letters and losing my marbles. #13;#10;#13;#10;Onwards and upwards and i just pray to god i can keep this up without going all this again. Thanks everyone for such great support and advise. [;)]

Thank you.I was so close to filing for BR. Almost finished filling in the forms. IP very kind on the phone, have the opportunity for a delay in payment so i can put a bit aside for my Birthday in September, and fill my freezer and cupboards up with nosh. I don't feel as relieved as i think i should. It's still a big thing isn't it ? No more hassle, no more interest, no more phone calls. phew to that

Ha ha, now that feels good, been on the phone to an agency acting on the behalf of a creditor just now.......... Told them what has happened and that they should go through the IP and any further correspondence will be forwarded on.... " so you've made yourself bankrupt then" she snapped, urgh, no i haven't actually, i want to pay off my debts, goodbye.

Well done quark, so glad it has worked out for you. You need to start looking after 'you' now and get yourself back to full strength.

Good luck. XX

I've been thinking.I think this IVA business may have come at the right time for me.Started studying in January and up until a few months ago was coping financially, now the studying and assignments are flooding in, I have no time for a meal out here and a trip away there. So no more slapping stuff on the plastic because it's there. My study program is going to last 5 years and i am fortunate to be seconded on full salary to train. Yes there are going to be some tough months where i may need to live on beans on toast for a few weeks, nowt wrong with farting all over the place and fibre is good for my heart disease ( didn't ever mention that )but really when the time comes to qualify i will also be debt free, and i look forward to that day.

It's amazing how much clearer things seem when the clouds of despair start to lift - well done you for looking to the future.

Thanks Marie, It's difficult to see over the top of something unless you are given something to climb up on. God this time last week i was an utterly shaking, retching mess. So i think the IVA will be that ladder, despite the payment being quite high. At least it will look good for me in 5 years time, when say i am fortunate to maybe want to buy a small piece of a key worker home, or emigrate, and nurse elsewhere free of debt.I will be able to sit with myself and say i paid as much as i could back.

ah thanks ladies, what an up and down eh ? My IP has put me at my total ease, any probs just call him.Just about pulling my claws out of the walls now and enjoying a cheap ( ish ) glass of Pinot. #13;#10;#13;#10;Breakfast will be some toasted thick sliced granary toast sandwiches, peanut butter, honey and sliced banana in them, bread was 35p with a yellow label on it, bunged that in the freezer soon as, Nana's 29, huge great fair trade lot, bit b*****ed but will do and can use the rest for banana honey and peanut butter smoothie for lunch, gerlicious !!!!
