Hi everyone , this is my first post, and , the start of my IVA journey.
Thanks to Melanie , and her team , Angela,Tina,Hywel and Sarah , at The IVA Advice Bureau , I had my IVA proposal accepted yesterday.
Like a lot of you , I wish I had acted earlier .You can't alter the past , but you can shape the future.
The next 60 months will present challenges, but I'm so glad that I've faced up to my responsibilites.
For anyone reading this post who is struggling with debt , or is on the verge of struggling, DON'T.
Get advice from an IP . Melanie tells you how it is. You might not like what you're hearing , but it will be impartial , and , professional.
Not matter how serious your situation is , there IS a solution.
You're not alone.
The biggest mistakes I made were robbing Peter to pay Paul, not acting early enough , and , just as importantly , keeping it from my wife who I love more than life itself. I almost lost her because of my secretive ways. Please, don't make the same mistakes as me.
I hope you'll accept me into the IVA family.
Adios,
Casi quebrado.[:)]

Welcome to the forum, we are waiting to hear regasrds our IVA, currently are on a DMP. The biggest hurdle is saying enough is enough and admitting there is a problem. We too spent months robbing peter to pay paul, kidding ourselves that all ws wll - the debt just gets biger and bigger.Things are tight, but no credit cards anymore, just keeping my fingers crossed too that my /our IVA is accepted too.

Regards

Thanks for the good luck messages everyone.
This is more than a forum . It's a support network, you can learn from one another's experience, there are some heartbreaking tales , but , a lot more positive experiences.
Doubtless that there are people who judge us , but I only concern myself with helping wherever I can.
Good luck to you all.

Hi Casi and a big welcome to the forum

Its such a relief isn't it when you get the call, mine came from Sarah at Melanie's office and I can still clearly remember where I was and what I was doing six months on...
Itnk most of us are guilty of robbing peter to pay paul for too long and I would have been in far less of a mess had I not done this.
Good luck and stay in touch with the forum as it really does help[:)]
Best wishes
Emma
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes
