I don't blame you Orchid!!! I'd be doing the letter now while I was still annoyed!

Disgraceful that it's got this far!!

I hope Declan can pick up on this next week and comment.

That could be a mite embarrassing, Orchid, if your "in IVA" bank account was with Co-OP !!!
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I know Foggy, i did say at the outset of this to EIF that i didn't want anything that could jeapodise my relations with the co-op as i have a cash minder bank account with the co-op, i was assured this wouldn't happen, hmmm! Jan i will definately be sending a letter to EIF and copying that to DFD just so that they are also in the picture of what can only be described as incompetence!!!

Letter typed and sent with a copy to DFD now that i have calmed down a little, what an absolute nightmare this is becoming.

Hi orchid - I hope you get a satsifactory response and the nightmare can have a line drawn under it. this "oversight" has casued you embarrasment and unecessary upset. Where PPI claims are justified they can be a good source of additional repayment to creditors (as long as there was a valid claim in the first place!).

Keep us posted - I think the PPI issue will be around for a good long time and hopefully the IP companies that have caused issues for their clients will take heed, esoecially if it starts turning off people from recommending them.

Hope the elbow continues to make a good recovery.

I will certainly keep you posted Tina, i sent an email with an attachment of the letter to DFD, so far no reply, probably busy! My elbow is slowly improving and i can touch my shoulder now but unfortunately i can't rotate my palm upwards as it causes a lot of pressure and discomfort, this is after 5 weeks so it's looking likely that in 3 weeks the consultant is going to say surgery, boo hoo. Still 3 weeks to go anything can happen between then and now, thank you for asking.

I've relented and signed the authorisation forms now...a second set came through marked URGENT. I don't think so!! I amended the letter so as not to give my IP unlimited power of attorney over all my accounts for the full duration of my iva! I only approved POA for one account for the time it takes to investigate whether I have a claim or not. That should help a bit, but I have no doubt they'll ignore me and do what they want when they want.

Hi BOL they will do wha they want, i found out yesterday when i phoned to complain that DFD had already been in contact with EIF and forwarded a copy of the letter that i'd actually sent to EIF as well. I was told that the even before you have signed anything they write to whomever!!!!! Yes i was quite shocked but as i pointed out to them they were phoned before i'd even put pen to paper to state i didn't have a credit card with one of the named creditors, it has been a complete waste of time on their part but the upshot of this is, i now have it confirmed from the co-op that i didn't have a credit card with them, they have a copy of this letter, i have also had an apology and they are now going to be speaking with DFD as it would appear the incorrect information stemmed from them!!!!! I look forward to receiving a letter of explanation from both parties but todate haven't heard a thing from DFD!
