Oh Kat, I am so very sorry to hear that, I dread the day anything happens to my dog, he is such a huge part of our family and we would all be devastated, thinking of you xxxx

Thoughts to you Kat - we had to make that decision a few years ago when our 17 year old dog was put to sleep - despite him being ill for a few weeks, we were hoping that he would die in his sleep, meaning we didnt have to make the awful decision - selfish i know !!!
Expect the normal berevement process - it takes time !!

So sorry to hear your news Kat. But her passing has helped you get the IVA out in the open, so she is still helping you,

thankyou all for your kind words.
loosing a pet is like loosing a best friend, a feeling which i think only other pet owners understand.
the house feels empty and my other dog looks so sad and lost at the moment.

Oh kat - sorry to hear that. I remember the physical pain I felt when I lost my 1st parrot a few years ago. All I can say is you have done the kindest thing for her, she'll look after you from doggy heaven and the pain will ease.

Love and hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thats terribly sad Kat,and thats the problem with having pets, they cant say when enough is enough so they rely totally on the kindness of their friends and owners being brave enough to know when the time is right.

It doesnt get any easier no matter how many pets you lose, but with time, and often throwing your devotion at another animal(although thats only my opinion),the pain eases, allowing you to remember not the end but all the great times you had together.

Now I am not religious in any way but trust me,our little dog zaks will be up there in doggy heaven sniffing around the new girl in town!!
