Electronic transmission of documentation is by far the best method in my opinion - things cannot therefore get lost on people's desks, and both sides have a permanent and instant record. We don't use paper in my office any more, and I have to say we have become a lot more efficient since the changeover.

It's never been offered to us as an option, but I will suggest it in the New Year.

If they won't do it, I shall be taking copies of future payslips and they can have those - at least I'll still have the originals to hand. Presumably, if they can't find them then we will have to ask for duplicates.

What a pain!

Surely your bank statements will state how much your salaries/pensions etc., were and they will accept copies of these, I once sent in a copy of a bank statement page as I had mislaid (don't think I received it but that's another story) and this was acceptable.

I don't have bank statements Lesley, and it would me asking for three months worth and I'm not doing that. Easier to get copies of wage slips if needs be.

I hope you get this sorted out Jan. I'm sure these letters are sent out deliberately when there's no one around, letters from the OR are the same!

Hi Jan,

When I had my DMP woth Payplan I used to send most things direct to my caseworker electronically, I hardley sent anything by post. I only sent the odd thing by post if requested.

You shoudl ask your caseworker about this, it makes life so much simpler, as Mel says, her office is paperless. Throught the whole IVA process I only ever sent a signed document to them.

Good luck with Payplan.

I used to send copies of my payslips to PayPlan by post but have scanned and e-mailed the last two lots. This was after me asking if this was OK as it was never suggested to me. Both times I got their response within 24 hours of sending them instead of the usual week or so – a lot less stressful!

I think the issue of them closing from yesterday until 4 January is ridiculous. I’m sure there will be a lot of people having anxious Christmases because of this. I appreciate that not much goes on over Christmas but having the opportunity to speak to someone for questions, clarifications, peace of mind etc would be useful, especially as with having time off you have more time to think about things!

I'll give it a go after the break.

Just so annoyed that they said they had them, and now say they haven't!

I totally agree that it is stupid they have almost two weeks off. They won't get many new clients doing that will they?
