Do you need AOL? yes you may have stop smoking or cut down.

What about yor husband is he not supporting you? do you eally have to pay to charities when you yoursel do not have spare cash?

When I was in my IVA Dave was supporting me, but as far as I can see that's not the point - I thought the point of an IVA was to allow a person to repay as much of their debt as they can afford, while being able to live a reasonable (careful not not extravagent) life, not to have to be supported by their partner.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is the present - a gift to make the most of.

Hi Karen
This seems unrealistic to be honest it is sad that people agree to non viable iva's just to get them axcepted.I realise thatBR is a frightning thought but if you look at it realisticly the only ones looseing out are the creditors and of course your ip if you havnt paid enough to sanction your own BR.
As Skippy said an iva is meant to allow you to live a realistic life and in your case this is not the case. Please persue your ip and try and get some answers as to why they excepted an iva that was not viable.

Hi, Karen. Was your IVA based on your joint income or just your own? If both incomes have been taken into account, (as mine was), your husband should be supporting you. I cannot see how an IVA that leaves you with £29.72 a month left could have been agreed by your IP or creditors. Please don't take this as criticism as the more we know, the more we can advise.

Well I certainly would not recommend that method to any persons in and IVA - as this is deceiving your IP and your creditors. My answer probably won't make me very popular on the forum, but an IVA has to work with mutual trust between client and IP.

Without a doubt, and if you got found out and were eventually made bankrupt, you could even find yourself on the wrong end of a BRO.

Melanie's certainly correct. I'm sure there are many people in an IVA who do similar scams. At the end of the day, you will be caught out and the stress of remembering 2 different versions of living expenses will take its toll. Remember, your creditors are not stupid!
