Great posts and I wish everyone a great 2012. I have noticed that since being in an IVA I have learned the value of things, rather than the cost of them. Mainly because I can't afford them! I have also become critical of debt that my close family seem to just take for granted and are burying their heads in the sand over. 2012 is going to be my 1/2 way to finish year and I can't wait until it is all over. I can't believe I can now just put aside the crave for the latest 'stuff' and get into even more debt just to show I have the latest, I can't afford it and I don't really need it (say that 20 times and you believe it [;)][8)])
Last Payment made 04/12/14. Completion Certificate 25/7/15. IVA company GT. No Issues

An excellent post, 2012 to me is my final fully year in the IVA, may it go smoothly not only for me but for all of us. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

2011 has been a struggle and unfortunately this time last year Husband and I had separated namely because of the financial strain. We are now looking forward to a Christmas together with an Accepted IVA and a way forward out of our debt problems. Also as his Parents regained contact with him after a 10 year gap it will be a true Family Christmas which we have never had. Best Wishes to you all for a Healthy and Happy 2012.

Carl1e, glad this year has ended happily for you.

The next few months for me will be very stressful ones but I'll get through!!

Chas - won't be doing the Sun holidays.

Chas -- I cheat on the holiday front. My in-laws live in the south of France, all we have to do is get there [8D]

Fab - I love the south of France.

I'm afraid its abroad or nowhere for me so it will be home next year.

I know a lot of people on here have done Sun holidays but I haven't myself. We'll be staying in this country - Dave's mum has a cottage near Chichester so we'll be going there.

I am looking forward to 2012, i need to see the back of this year. Only good thing has been entering the IVA as i dread to think where i would be now if I hadn't!
Its been 1 thing after another this year, between spending money on a bottomless pit of a car, to things in the house, loosing loved ones and more recently health problems ( still getting over it). So when that clock strikes midnight, I will be happy to see it go.
Although I have to say I have found this forum a god send and a great place for help and support. Of course my partner too, he has been an angel this year :)
I hope everyone has a good Xmas and looks forward to 2012.
Susie

Hi All,

Been a while since I posted on here but wanted to let people know how I am getting on. Some of you will know that I managed to pay my IVA off via my Parents on a F & F but this year has been an absolute nightmare for me. Although I am debt free my job was relocated back in February and I have had a few jobs since then which unfortunately did not work out - one due to being screwed over and the other a medical reaction to chemicals used. (I have epilepsy)

I really hope 2012 will be a fresh start for me and also for all of you. Take care!!!
