did anyone see the news last week, office of fair trading clamping down on whats known as free debt advice, or free get me into a IVA advice as they are now calling it,

some IVA companies are very good, but be aware before making a descion.!

That's why we advise people to contact several IPs for advice before they make a decision.

That is why we always recommend on here to check out www.iva.com so that you can read the reviews yourself and go from there.

Most do offer free advice and no pressure

The one's closed down were dodgy, unregulated companies using names the same as genuine ones.

No companies were closed down to my knowledge, but some websites were closed for sailing a little close to the wind with certain phrases.

And they were not necessarily IVA companies but companies who either offer so called advice and may be packagers and/or debt management and possibly IVA companies.
