hiya all,

havnt been on here for a while, sorry!!.
anyway, made my first payment on the 1st of april, seems strange paying for everything by cash but quite enjoying it actually.
managing alot better with my money than i thought too. its not until you enter into something like an iva that you realise how many companies are trying to make people borrow, take credit cards etc etc, its a vicious circle that i will never be in again. i know 5 years seems a long time but it will be worth it in the end.

Totally agree and well done . you will be surprised at how quickly that number starts to drop.It really does show you doesnt it how much credit there is. I wonder sometimes how many people are struggling in the way we did for years. I hope all continues well for you.

Well done rt x

It took me a while to settle down into my iva as I was worried it was all too good to be true and something would go wrong.

I have made 6 payments now and can't believe how quick that has gone, it only seems like yesterday that I was dodging the phone!

Hope it goes as quick for you x
Be positive & look after yourself, there are more important things in life than debts....

Best Wishes

thanks all for your messsages.
your right aguise, i used a minimum repayment calculator the other day on one of my pre iva credit card debts and it worked out that if i made the minimum repayment on it until it was clear it would of been another 62 years to clear it!! not much too look forward to is it when i get to 96!! (hopefully). anyway, not dwelling on the past anymore because my future is finally bright!!
