Ok my little frugal friends! I need to buy a couple of bottles of wine for Dad for Xmas. He likes South African, Australian or Chilean - I want to spend about £8 per bottle - anybody give some recommendation please. I only drink Pepsi Max!!

I don't drink wine but I've been told that Jacobs Creek is a good one but I have no idea how much it is.

Thanks Skippy - will take a look. Don't mind really about the price (ish) as he's been very good to me this year over my health.

I used to - but not worth stopping the medication to have a glass of wine.

Still haven't heard anything from work - 3 weeks now since the medical. Trying not to be optimistic but I had decisions pretty quickly when it was a no before.

oooh red wine...my fave! (sorry, is that tooo TOWIE?)
Aldi do a good Rioja for about £6 or any Tempranillo should suffice but as the saying goes: one mans' wine is usually caused by a woman [:D][:D]

Although Rioja is thought of as red, it is also a rose and white, try this-

The only time I drink red wine is when it is mulled. Other than that it is medium/dry white or rose for me.
