I've got a steam generator as well and totally love it.

[:D] I don't blame you Lesley.

To be honest, hubby does more than his fair share around the house. He attempted ironing a few weeks ago, but I reclaimed it...don't want to make myself redundant [:D]

Lesley the meter thing just makes you very aware of what uses lots of electricity, and through using it we used at the last bill date(monday last week) 10% less electric than the same period last year!!!

Now considering I was off work for 9 weeks so in the house much more than last year its amazing that we reduced our usage so much.

Switching the electric fan oven on gives me heart failure!!

I'm the same Julie - hubby would do everything but I prefer to do some things round the house so the washing and ironing is mine!!

He does the rest!!

I look after the money too Lesley and if hubby ever manages to answer the phone, he always says " I'll put my wife on, she deals with everything" [:D]

If I left hubby's mail it'd be here forever, he just don't bother with things like that. I don't mind doing it to be fair, especially now in an IVA as it's taught me a lot that I know I'm going to take forward post IVA x

I open all the mail, that's the control freak in me [:)]

I took control over hubby's debt and to be honest, I would rather keep control than risk him going back 6 years.

I'm surprised hubby actually still trusts me to do the finances as I'm the one who got us into trouble in the first place!!!!

My hubby wouldn't know how much things are, the other day I was looking for alternative, contents and buildings insurance, he asked why, so I explain it's gone up to £50 and I want to reduce it, he asked if that was for the year?? he is so out of touch. He wouldn't know when car tax was due or insurance....nothing, good job he's domesticated!

I don't iron - clothes are hung up as soon as they come out of the washing machine and they seem to be ok!

Dave is much more domesticated than me and does the cooking and housework. To be fair he doesn't often work every day. If he did we would split it between us.
