Hiya
I'm currently in my 4th year of my IVA and I have mortgage, and would like to remortgage. My broker has said that there are no mortgages out there for people who are still in their IVA - it has to be completed for 12 months. Is this true? has anyone else managed to find one?
any help would be fantastic
thanks

Do you need to remortgage as a condition of your IVA? If so, then approach your current company.

Otherwise, you may find it difficult to find someone, but it is not impossible.

Tony Parson, who posts as Welshboy on here may be able to assist if he is around.

You can find his details by contacting on the experts link on the left hand side of the page.

Welcome to the forum, at present those in an IVA would be looking at a mortgage at circa 75% loan to value i.e. If your property was valued at £100k then the max would be around £75k including fees.

The rate and lender would depend on the outcome of a search done on you.

It isn`t easy but it`s worth trying.Tony
