Hi Everyone just a short posting to let you all know that today I received my Certificate of Due Completion for my Full and Final IVA. I would like to thank Melanie, Sarah and Tina at the IVA Advice Bureau. They were excellent in every way. I now feel that closure on the matter has finally arrived. No more credit cards, loans over overdrafts. I have a prepay Cash Plus card for emergencies and pay cash for everything else. I will continue to support this forum and I know that without it I would have been well truly sunk!

Hi,
Am really glad to hear your news!!

I am 9 payments into my IVA and it has changed my life! No more living beyond my means...no more worrying about how I'm going to pay everyone back each month. It has really changed my life...OMG! I sound like a convert....But it has changed me and my values. I think twice before I buy anything. And like you say, you can't go wrong if you only deal with the money you actually have.

Just to add that RedDevil's IVA was concluded within two months of its acceptance by creditors, which proves that it can be done with a co-operative client, and speedy submission of claims from creditors.

Look forward to hearing more support from you to the other forum posters as you are now one of the experienced "old sweats" of the forum - Mr Davie included!!!!!

Hi Melanie

Yes it was very fast and efficient. To be honest I was thinking along the lines of 6 months or so. How long will my details remain on the insolvency register? Anyway, if I am an old sweat then Andy must be a very old sweat! I must admit the Bristol venue looks tempting. I would like to meet Andy and other forum members to share views and ideas on on how to handle debt.

I would think that the details will be off the register by the end of next week.

Hi Red Devil
Myself and my husband also received our certificates of completion yesterday for a full and final IVA again expertly handled by Melanie and her team. I have been thinking back to how I felt at the beginning of the year when I could see no way out of our increasing debt problem and am so thankful I found this forum and Melanie.
To any new members here who may just be starting out on tackling your debts please take heart you are probably feeling terrible right now but at least you are doing something positive and there will be a solution for you. Best of luck to everybody.

Hi Melanie thanks for the reply. I will keep an eye on the register. I knew Andy would chip in after making a comment like that! Bristol is looking good for me. Many thanks to other forum members for their kind support since early May this year. After one failed IVA proposal with SYNERGI and payment of £468 for nothing.... I was desperate for a solution. I found this forum and an angel called Melanie.

Hi dots my IVA was approved mid June. Remortgage was complete early July. Got a fixed rate of 6.6% for 3 years. Not bad considering I had 4 defaults and a CCJ tacked against me! I hate Amex as a creditor because they caused me all sorts of crap. They instigated the CCJ and tried to get a charging order on my property. Anyway, I sent my cheque to Melanie straight away. Certificate dated 31st August!!! If you are efficient with your own paperwork then your IP should be able to do it quickly. Also, thanks to Terry at iva.com, ray_a and sps (Sue) for their comments. Anyone in for 5 years stretch then good luck and hang in there.

Thanks again
