hi all quick question - my F&F meeting is soon - the company that i am with says that i stand a good chance as offering 21p in pound against 25p in pound to settle 2 years early and no equity in house. what happens if my f&f is rejected?? do i just carry on as before??? or does this mean my IVA fails and they make me bankrupt -bit worried now as my friend says that is what happens???? if they reject can i make another offer or do you only get one chance?? Finally my IVA changed names so it delayed my written offer being made by 2 months!!! my iva said i was ok not to pay the 2 months money that i normally pay as it was their fault it was delayed - and if it was rejected then these 2 months would be tagged on the end (finish in december and not october) but i am worried now that if rejected i will show arrears and again my IVA will fail.. i felt so good putting in a final offer and my provider putting forward my proposal but now my nerves are really kicking in and i cant sleep for worrying of all the possible outcomes - please help or advise if you can...thank you xx

Hi JC,
Don't worry, if your offer were to be rejected, you would just carry on paying as you were, your IVA wouldn't fail. They won't make you bankrupt.
I think, as your IVA company obviously do, that the offer will be accepted. Please don't worry about not having made those two payments, as your company have said, if it should be rejected then they will just be tagged onto the end.
Please don't worry, I'm sure everything will be fine.

I do think that you should carry on making payments in the meantime, and am suprised that you were advised to stop these.

i totally agree with melanie ,i have just had a iva f&f offer accepted, which took 2 months to set up, in anticipation of this i included 2 monthly payments in with the lump sum as part of the offer. this made the offer more attractive and i made the monthly payments as normal knowing these were part of the offer if accepted, which it was ,then my ip instructed me to cancel my standing order payments as my iva was concluded, that is the right criteria to use when considering making f&f offers rather than stopping payments before variation meeting.
