Hi everyone, I don't know if this has been discussed already as I couldn't find it with the search facility. Does anyone know if the Post Office do a credit check if you want to switch to them as a phone line provider? It looks a good deal and I would like to take it up.

Hope you're all well and keep up the great work [8D]

I don't know BOT. I am already with them.

Have you looked at their T&C? It might tell you on there.

You're not thinking of broadband as well are you? If you are, I wouldn't recommend it!

Hi Jan, I'm not interested in B/band package - just the phone. I've just flicked through the pamphlet again and it says under FAQ's about failing credit check - never mind!

You could always try! They might say yes!

I kept getting stuff through the mail from Virgin - the deal looked so much cheaper for phone / tv/ broadband. i gave them a ring and said that i was in an IVA - the lady i spoke to said that they would probably ask for a deposit of about £150 in that case - Post Office may do the same if you ask them

Trouble is - how do you afford a deposit of £150 when in an IVA?

I couldn't Jan - thats why i'm stuck with BT for the phone, Sky for the TV and Tesco for the Broadband!!!!!

You could do the lot with BT (not recommended by me!) or with Sky, which is what I shall be going with next year, regardless of what BT offer me!

I've just changed from Post Office phone to Sky package with broadband, phone and Sky +, got a good deal for a year then I'll look at it again. I never thought about being in an IVA and applied online for the package and was accepted straightaway!

I wished I had done that, rather than be persuaded by what BT could do for me!

This time next year..........!!!!!!!!!
