[:I]
I would just like to say a big thank you to this forum and i hoped by posting this note it would give others in the same position some hope that this forum gave to me.

I have never posted on here before but have been reading it for the past 5 weeks whilst waiting for a decision on my IVA acceptance.

It was accepted on New Years Eve. I am now back to my usual happy self after going through the worst 12 months of my life.

My self and my husband ran up debts of £62000. Due to a job loss we had to borrow of cards to pay off other debts. In the end money had ran out and we had to act quick . With nowhere else to turn we contacted Freeman Jones who i must say were excellent from start to finish we had no problems, they were so easy to talk to and they called when they said they would and gave me plenty of positive support throughout this whole upsetting process which has only taken 6 weeks, they even set me up with Think Banking which i must say is excellent. So i thought as this forum has helped me through the last 5 weeks by knowing there are other people out there in the same position I used to spend ages going through peoples details to see if they had posted which creditor had voted and who had not so i was hoping by posting mine it would give other people hope.

we offered 40p in the £ there were only slight Modifications(IP Fees reduced so went up to 43p we have no equity in the house so do not need to raise any after the 4th year .

Virgin (MBNA) £11'000 yes (was not sold on)
HSBC £10'000 YES + 3000 OD YES
RBS £5'000 Loan Yes + 1700 OD Yes + Credit Card £1'500 Yes
Egg £7'000 YES
Capital One £3'00 YES
Barclay Card £3'500 Yes
GE Money £1'00 Yes
Citi Cards £5'900 (did not vote)
Harvey Nicks 500 (did not vote)
Dorothy Perkins £400 Yes
Mint £1'700 Yes
Tesco £1'600 Yes
LLoyds TSB £5'500 Yes
Black Horse £1'500 Yes

The only advice i have is have faith in your chosen IP and try to remain positive i know that can be easier said than done but by spending time reading this fantastic forum i did manage to keep the tears at bay and think positive thoughts. Thank you all so much.

Hi there and welcome to the forum. Well done on your acceptance, and snap, I too am with freeman jones and found them great also, and one year in still feel the same, always someone to speak to if needed. I too am with thinkbanking and have found that also to be a great asset, it helps with the budgeting as you always know what you have to spend.
The forum helped me a great deal, it gave me the strenghth and encouragement also to carry on whilst everything was going through.
Anyway all the best and hope to hear more from you.

I'm guessing somewhere between £300 and £350 per month if my maths is correct, and dependant on the IP fees.

Congratulations. I am personally pleased to see Virgin/MBNA voting positive, as well as HSBC. It's also pleasing (I think!) to see most of the creditors voting.
