I am pleased to say that after struggling with debts for over 10 years yesterday I was approved an IVA.

I have 59 payments to make and I will be debt free for the first time since I was 21 years old.

This has been such a massive learning curve for me and I know full well I will never get myself into this situation again.

I just want to say thank you to everyone on here for your kind words and advice over the last few weeks. It was nice to know I'm not the only person going through this.

Well done, John, great news. Yes, the learning curve is steep ( and you will be on it yet awhile), but so worth it in the end.

Like you, this is the first time I have been debt free since coming of age --- and it IS great to be able to say that I owe nothing ( and it is going to stay that way !)
