I sold my house week before christmas with enough money to pay my iva off and get a small flat. Today i recieved news that my offer has been accepted so its all systems go now. New year new start can only be better than last year which was the worst year of my life.

So pleased for you - and I am humbled by your very positive attitude when you have had such a rotten time lately. Perhaps the complete fresh start is just what you need.

Everything could have been so different. My dad always told me when anything happened to him and i sold house i would have to share with family. Tough luck that they rushed to solicitors last year when he died because everything was in my name. I would have shared proceeds of hhouse and gone into rented. Yes it hurts that i lost my dad and family dont talk to me now but i got to move on now.

Good luck indeed. Sometimes, the only one you can rely on is yourself. Move forward successfully. Best of luck wickerwish!

So sad to see a family now divided due to money. Sometimes it really is the root of all evil, and I just wish that your siblings had been a little more understanding.

Call their bluff -- unless they have had another offer, can they gamble it will sell at the higher price in today's market ?
